In a daring act of courage, an unnamed villager from Kaduna engaged a group of bandits who attacked him on his farm, resulting in the death of the gang’s leader during a recent confrontation in Kaduna State.
The intense confrontation unfolded when the bandits returned to the community with the intention of abducting the farmer.
The same group had previously killed his children several months ago, as reported by Daily Trust.
According to sources, the farmer was diligently working on his farm alongside one of his sons when they were confronted by the armed bandits.
The assailants attempted to abduct both the farmer and his son, issuing demands which the farmer staunchly refused to comply with.

Wizi, the notorious leader of the gang that had sowed terror within the community, instructed one of his henchmen to shoot the villager. However, the shot missed its target and struck the man’s son in the leg instead.
A community leader, who preferred to remain anonymous, verified the incident to Daily Trust. The community leader described the harrowing events that unfolded, highlighting the father’s resilience in the face of danger.
“As the son lay injured on the ground, the bandit attempted to stab him with a machete. In a courageous act to protect his son, the father fought back,” the source narrated.
“He managed to wrestle the gun away from Wizi, prompting the other bandits to flee in fear. The fight escalated, resulting in Wizi getting shot by the villager.”
The source praised the father’s unwavering determination to safeguard his family, underscoring the significant risks he took to defend his loved ones.
