Ja’oji Empowers 1,000 Kano Residents with N50m Cash Grants

A member of the Governing Council of the Federal College of Education(Technical), Potiskum, Yobe State, Nasiru Aminu-Ja’oji, has disbursed N50 million in cash grants to 1,000 youths and women in Kano aimed at alleviating economic challenges.

Presenting the money at a ceremony held in Kano, Aminu-Ja’oji said the objective of the gesture is to make the beneficiaries self-reliant.

He said 1,000 All Progressive Congress(APC) members, youths, and women are to benefit from the empowerment.

“Each beneficiary received a cash grant of N50,000.

“This program is designed to help cushion the effects of the harsh economic realities facing our society and to shape the future of our nation.”

“My hope is to always give a helping hand to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to achieve more, as his administration is committed to empowering youths and women.”

“I believe in helping our youths with necessary skills, including computer literacy training, from which hundreds of our youths have benefited.”

Aminu-Ja’oji further revealed that in September 2024, he empowered 484 youths and women with cash grants of different categories.

“Many people were given scholarships to pursue their academics, and other individuals were supported on a daily basis because we believe we should always help our people to live a good life.

“I also donated the sum of N88 million to our vibrant APC coalition youth movement to help energize our great youth in Kano,” he said.

He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the financial empowerment.

The Minister for Youths Development, Mr Ayodele Olawande, commended Aminu-Ja’oji, for supporting youths and women.

“This initiative is in line with the policy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, which encourages and supports empowering youths and women in the country.

“My ministry, the Ministry of Women Affairs, and other relevant stakeholders will collaborate to advance youth development and create a better future for Nigerian youths.”

One of the beneficiaries, Amina Muhammad, commended the gesture and promised to use the funds judiciously.
