Qausain TV Appoints Adam A. Zango As Director-General

 

In a significant move, the Qausain Group of Companies has appointed renowned Kannywood actor and singer, Adam A. Zango as the new Director-General of its flagship broadcasting channel, Qausain TV.

The announcement was made by the Qausain Group President, Alhaji Nasir Idris, in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja.

Mr. Idris confirmed that Zango’s appointment takes effect immediately and was approved during a Board of Directors meeting.

He also announced the appointment of Col. Sani Bello (retired), the former Military Governor of Kano State, as the Chairman Pro-Tem of the board for an initial term of four years, in accordance with the Companies and Allied Matters Act.

“The Chairman Pro-Tem is tasked with providing effective leadership, promoting open discussions, and facilitating sound decision-making within the Board,” Idris stated.

Additionally, the former Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Pantami, has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

According to the statement, his role includes offering independent oversight and ensuring the Board’s decisions remain objective and free from conflicts of interest.

The President further revealed that renowned former BBC Hausa Service broadcaster, Ahmad Abdullahi, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director.

Abdullahi, who boasts of 28 years of experience with the BBC before retiring in July 2023, will focus on promoting high standards of corporate governance and ethical conduct within the organization.

Idris expressed confidence that the expertise of the newly appointed officials aligns with the company’s vision and will be instrumental in shaping Qausain TV’s strategic direction.

He encouraged them to leverage their extensive backgrounds to advance the company’s goals and mission effectively.

“We believe that your distinguished backgrounds and insights will be pivotal in propelling the company to new heights of success,” he added.
