MAULUD: Nuhu Wali urges Muslims to reserve good teachings of the prophet, tasks leaders on human development

Muslims have been urged to sustain the good teachings of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), in all their life endeavors.

Philanthropist Mustapha Nuhu Wali (mni), asserted this during the maulud commemoration held in Dorayi babba Kano.

Mustapha Nuhu Wali while felicitating with the muslims faithful’s advice on imbibing the culture of the prophet on love, peace, tolerance and unity.

“As we mark this significant day, I pray that the teachings of the prophet, which emphasize peace, love, brotherhood, compassion, continue to guide us towards a more harmonious and united society.

Nuhu Wali called on the Muslims faithful to unite so that society will be able to succeed as one in the country.

‘Maulud is a time to show love, togetherness to Muslims and even those that are not Muslims but residing in our domain. This is my 13th year of celebrating the day in honor of our prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

“As we can recall, we emulate this gesture from our forefather, who spent over 80 years celebrating the day in Kano.

“This period offers us the opportunity to reflect on the life and teachings of our beloved prophet Muhammad (SAW), his leadership qualities in promoting peace, unity, togetherness and solidarity among Muslims.

“We also share love by giving charity to the needy, chant verses from the Holy Book, and emulating the virtues and compassion of the Holy Prophet, as his contributions to human civilization cannot be measured,” he said.

Mustapha Nuhu Wali then called on the leaders and wealthy individuals to support the people in need and prayed for continued peaceful coexistence in the country.

“This is a critical time in the history of Nigeria, so there is a need to invest more in the welfare of our brothers and sisters, as God Almighty will bless our wealth because of these practices”, Wali reiterated.

Maulud is celebrated to honor the birth of our holy prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam), considered as the last messenger of Allah, and to encourage Muslims to rejuvenate their faith and rededicate their time to the service of Almighty God.

The day is observed on the 12th day of the Islamic month of Rabi’ul Awwal of the Hijra calendar, which is a significant event for many Muslims in the world.
