JCI: Kwankwaso Urges Gov.Yusuf To Leave Ganduje Alone

Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) Alh. Musa Ilyasu Kwankwaso has appealed to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to drop the plan Judicial Commission of Inquiry (JCI) targeted to investigate the immediate past Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje .

Ilyasu Kwankwaso in a statement in Kano on Monday said “The move to probe the former governor is a smokescreen of a hidden agenda designed to humiliate the national chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.”

The former commissioner for rural and community development explained that the “intention of probing Dr Ganduje’s administration is a political vendetta that would expose alleged financial atrocities committed by his political godfather Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso while serving the State.”

Kwankwaso said “Dr. Kwankwaso and Governor Yusuf should shelve negative moves at tarnishing the image and reputation of Dr.Ganduje over their desperate move to join the ruling APC”.

Kwankwaso, a strong ally of Ganduje alleged that ” the recent commission of Inquiry set up by governor Yusuf was the handiwork of Kwankwasiyya leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, aimed at tarnishing the good reputation of Ganduje adding that this ignoble move has failed on arrival.

He said “We are calling on Governor Yusuf to stop dancing to the tune of Dr. Kwankwaso because the teeming masses of the state were well aware of the alleged abuse of office associated with his tenure.

Kwankwaso stressed “We were not begging Governor Yusuf, not to embark on probing Dr.Ganduje’s administration because constitutionality, a sitting Governor has the right to a probe his predecessor, but as I said, ” he who lives in glass house must not throw stones “.

Dr. Kwankwaso, then referred the state Governor to the ruling of a federal high court, that only the Attorney General of the country or the Economic Financial Crime Commission has the power to instigate a probe on financial allegations, hence the need for Governor Yusuf, to look before he leaps.
