NECO to Conduct Internal Examination to Candidates in Saudi Arabia

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has finalized preparations to administer the Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This follows the successful assessment and accreditation of Nigeria International School, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Led by the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Sununu, and the Registrar of NECO, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, a delegation conducted an assessment of the school facilities and engaged in an interactive session with the school’s management and staff.

According to a statement signed by Azeez Sani, Acting Director of NECO’s Directorate of Information and Digital Communication, the delegation thoroughly evaluated the school’s infrastructure, including examination halls, classrooms, laboratories, library, curriculum, and overall security.

As a result of this assessment, Nigeria International School Jeddah was deemed suitable to serve as an International Centre for NECO SSCE Internal and was granted full accreditation.

Addressing the staff and students of the school, Minister Sununu urged them to uphold Nigeria’s reputation as good ambassadors not only in Saudi Arabia but across the entire Gulf States Cooperation Council.

Prof. Wushishi, in his remarks, highlighted the significance of school accreditation in ensuring conducive teaching and learning environments for examinations.

Upon their arrival at the school, the delegation was welcomed by Consular General Ambassador Bello Kazaure and the School’s Proprietor, Alhaji Abdulkadir Maikudi, along with other staff members.

Additionally, the Minister and the NECO Registrar visited the Nigeria House in Jeddah, where they engaged in discussions with the Consular General and consulate staff.

It is worth noting that NECO already operates international examination centers in Togo, Benin Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Niger, and the Republic of Gabon, further expanding its reach and accessibility for students across borders.
