Mohammed Raji of Labour Party Appointed as CUPP Kano State Chairman

 

The coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has appointed Mohammed Abdullahi Raji of the Labour Party as its Kano state chairman.

The appointment is contained in a letter signed by the party’s national general secretary, High Chief Ameh Peter.

According to the release, Abdullahi’s appointment was based on merit and dedication to the values and goals of CUPP in the enthronement of democracy.

Also appointed are Hashim Suleiman Dungurawa (NNPP) – Deputy State Chairman, Sukairajo Tijiani (APGA) – State Secretary, Hamisu San Turaki – Deputy State Secretary, Salisu Abdulmuni (AA) State Spokesperson and Abdullahi Abba Sharif (AAC) Youth Mobilizer.

“We at CUPP headquarters are pleased to extend this letter of appointment to you. Indeed you are true representatives of Coalition for United Political Parties (CUPP) in Kano State.

” This is based on our constitutional and liberal democracy in Nigeria, as well as your demonstrated leadership skills in political party management, making you the ideal candidates for these positions hereunder listed”.

In the statement, the new Chairman of CUPP will be representing the interests of CUPP within the designated area or constituency, which is Kano State.

Also part of his responsibilities is “attending meetings, conferences, and events on behalf of CUPP in Kano State

and other Northern States whenever the need arises.

“Communicating effectively with CUPP members, stakeholders, and the general public on the need to remain steadfast in in the pursuit of democracy and to gather feedback and insights as to political developments in Kano State in particular and Nigeria in general.

“Collaborating with other stakeholders in the political arena to develop strategies and initiatives that align with the CUPP’s objectives of enthroning liberal democratic principles of free, fair and credible elections, and upholding the above principles and standards”. Peter said.
