Details of the incident remained sketchy, but unconfirmed sources allege that the socialite caught his wife in bed with one of his security guards .

The victim reportedly macheted his wife to death and, after that, committed suicide by drinking sniper, an insecticide.

It was gathered that the ugly incident occurred at his Alagbaka GRA in Akure metropolis.

His wife’s lifeless body was left on their marital bed, while the socialite died inside his toilet after drinking the insecticide.

Adelabu, according to sources, has a chain of business investments, including petrol stations in Akure, the Ondo state capital.

Their corpses have been deposited at the Akure General Hospital.

When contacted, the state police spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the incident.

Odunlami said that the socialite murdered his wife and thereafter committed suicide by drinking sniper.

The police spokesperson added that police detectives have started their investigation into the matter.
