Forest Security: BUK Engages 22 NHFSS Operatives, Signs MoU with Kano Command

In its efforts to secure and strengthen the security of her woodlands and neighboring villages making the University community, the Bayero University Kano (BUK) has engaged the services of 22 operatives of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS).

The NHFSS Kano Commander Abdullahi Al-Ameen disclosed this in an exclusive interview with an online news platform ‘GLOBAL TRACKER’ in Kano.

According to him, the service will be conducting 24-hour surveillance in the university community especially its area of land covered by bushes aimed at strengthening the security of life and properties.

“The management of the university has been hiring the activities of NHFSS, we have been arresting criminals and handing them over to the Police for prosecution, that why the management of BUK finds us worthy to work together and secure their woodlands,” said Al-Ameen.

Meanwhile, the management of the university would sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NHFSS in weeks to come to strengthen the working relationship.

“If the MoU is signed it will pave the way for a comprehensive and close working relationship between us and BUK being a very vast institution and one of the leading universities in Nigeria with thousands of educationists under its umbrella” he added.

In the meantime, the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas has presented complement awards to Kano commander of the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service NHFSS Abdullahi Al-Ameen.
