Umar Idris Shuaibu – Kano
The University of Ibadan Alumni Association (UIAA) has presented the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, with an award of excellence.
A statement signed by The Senior Special Assistant to the APC National Chairman, Aminu Dahiru, said the award was presented to Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje at a luncheon and award of honours to mark the university’s 75th anniversary, held at Metropolitan Club Hall in Lagos on Saturday.

The association said that the award is in recognition of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s significant contribution to the development of the university.
The association also lauded the former governor of Kano State for the theatre he donated to the university.
Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was in the company of his wife, Professor Hafsat Umar Ganduje and she also presented awards to some of the winners.
The Kano State APC Governorship candidate, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, and the Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, were among the dignitaries who presented awards to winners at the event.
Also present at the event were members of the APC National Working Committee as well as APC elders from various states of the federation.
