Ganduje Mourns Kannywood Movie Director, Aminu S Bono

The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Tuesday said the demise of ace Kannywood Movie Director, Aminu Surajo Bono is a big blow to the entertainment industry.

Dr. Ganduje who expressed shock over the passage of the popular actor said it came at a time when the industry needed him most.

A statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu made available to newsmen on Tuesday stated that “Bono stands tall ahead of others in the entertainment industry in terms of commitment to preserve, and promote the socio-cultural values of the Hausa/Fulani heritage”.

Mr. Olofu said that Bono’s life and times in the industry created a positive impact, and helped in no small measure enlist followership confidence in the industry.

Ganduje said “I want to use this time to identify and commiserate with his immediate family in particular, and Kannywood in general over the demise of one of the brightest brains in the industry, Ace movie Director, Aminu Surajo Bono”

The statement stressed that “Bono’s life and times at the entertainment industry brought fame, to Kannywood.”

Ganduje maintained that the late film director’s life on stage and off stage boosted the confidence of those who had contrary views of the industry.

The APC National Chairman noted, “I must admit that Aminu Surajo Bono’s exit has created a gap in the entertainment industry, and this is a reality we must contend with years ahead.”

The statement however quoted Dr. Ganduje to pray unto Allah to grant the immediate family, Kannywood the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, while he also beseech Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdausi, Amin.
