The Kano State Head of Civil Service (HoS), Alhaji Usman Bala, has resigned from his position.
This announcement was made through a brief press statement released by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi.
In the statement issued on Wednesday, it was revealed that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has directed Haj. Ma’azatu Isa Dutse, the permanent secretary of the service, to oversee the Office of the Head of Service temporarily until the appointment of a new HoS.

Mr. Bala is among the few officials who served in the previous administration of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and continued in their roles in the Abba Kabir Yusuf led government until his recent resignation.
