Rivers State House of Assembly Chamber has been set on fire, by suspected arsonist.
The fire coincides with rumors circulating about a purported plan to impeach Governor Similanayi Fubara.
According to sources, the arsonist gained access to the chamber on Sunday night, setting it ablaze.

However, the swift response of the fire service prevented the fire from engulfing the entire Assembly complex.
The Rivers State Police Command Public Relation Officer, SP Grace Iringe Koko is yet to comment on the development, as at the time of filing this report.
