The Acting National Chairman of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Damagum, has announced the commencement of a battle for the country’s emancipation. Damagum made this declaration while addressing stakeholders of the party during a world press conference organized for Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential Candidate of the PDP in the last election.
Damagum stated, “We may be disappointed, but we are not deterred because we know what happened underground. People are not jubilating because of the situation we have found ourselves in the country.”

He urged journalists to accurately report the statements made by the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, and emphasized, “We want Nigerians to know our position. The battle will start from today. We are resolute. All PDP members should not be deterred.”
