The mass wedding ceremony in Kano state continues on day 2 for the newlywed 1,700 couples, sponsored by the state government.
GOOD EVENING NIGERIA reports that the wedding Fatihah was conducted, on Friday, at the palace of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Bayero, and attended by the Leader of the Kwankwasiyya political movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Twenty-four hours after, the couples converged on Government House, Kano, in continuation of the activicties.
The beneficiaries, who were mainly young girls and boys, widows, divorcees and spinsters, came from across the 44 local government areas of the state.
