‘They killed, buried him alive,’ netizens speculate, as Mohbad’s body is exhumed

A series of viral videos depicting the exhumation of the late Ilerioluwa Promise Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has ignited a wave of speculation and concern among netizens.

In these videos, a pool of blood is visible around the area where the late songwriter’s head was positioned in the coffin.

Witnesses present at the scene appear visibly shocked and distraught, expressing their belief that Mohbad may have been buried while still alive.

They point to the absence of any foul odor near the grave as a factor reinforcing their conviction that foul play may be involved.

However, the interpretation of these videos has sparked a debate. Some argue that the presence of blood around a body during exhumation is a normal part of the decomposition process that occurs after death.

A X user, @FS_Yusuf wrote: Seeing blood in Mohbad’s coffins while his body was exhumed leave us with so many questions that only a very thorough and honest investigation can uncover.

“From the nurse, the boy in that video and his father, all have serious questions to answer.

“How did Mohbad “die”? Was he pronounced “dead” by a doctor?”

@Lincolnbright said, “If this guy is dead before dem bury am. He suppose don dey smell.”

@ifexcaleb said, “Mohbad die like yesterday oo.. The blood there was because they broke his neck, and he maybe struggling and coughing out blood.”

However, @jejelaye_peter, shared a screenshot of an online article that says, ‘3-5 days after death — the body starts to bloat and blood-containing foam leaks from the mouth and nose.’ He said, “Blood in coffin doesn’t necessarily mean he was buried alive.”
