In a latest update to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), owner Elon Musk has unveiled plans to introduce video and audio call features to the app in the near future.
This announcement comes shortly after X initiated a reward system for creators who are subscribers to Twitter Blue.
Musk shared the development on X, stating that the new features will be compatible with iOS, Mac, Android, and PC devices.
According to him, using these new features will not require the use of a mobile number, adding that the new features will be unique in the future.

In his words, “Video & audio calls coming to X. Works on iOS, Android, Mac & PC. No phone number needed. X is the effective global address book. That set of factors is unique.”
