Demola Odulaja, former spouse of Farida Abdulkabir, Chief Executive Officer of House of Phreedah Body Care, has shed light on the reasons that led to the dissolution of their marriage, which lasted just about two months after a lavish wedding.
In an interview with Yoruba social commentator ArewaTopeFamous on Instagram Live, Odulaja cited Sobowale’s alleged promiscuity, lies, covetousness, and other issues as the driving forces behind their separation.
GOOD EVENING NIGERIA had earlier reported that Sobowale nearly plunge into the Third Mainland Bridge lagoon in Lagos came after the failed marriage, but bystanders intervened and prevented the tragedy.

Sobowale mentioned that the strain of her broken marriage was overwhelming and prompted thoughts of ending her life.
However, Odulaja painted a different picture, asserting that his association with Sobowale extended over two decades but was strained by her alleged “unrestrained and promiscuous way of living.”
He recounted instances of Sobowale’s simultaneous involvement with him and several other men before their marriage. Odulaja also accused her of frequently visiting his brother’s residence without reasonable explanation.
While fielding questions on Sobowale’s allegation and label as a gigolo, Odulaja said, “I am extremely wealthy. I live in a 22-bedroom mansion in Gbagada.
“I am not a gigolo. I come from a wealthy home and have been flying first class long before now, people know me well in London,” he added.

Continuing, he noted, “When I got back to Nigeria from London in 2009, Farida met me in Lagos in 2010. That same year, I took her to China to start an importation business which of course yielded results and was the beginning of her travelling.”
He also maintained that he had been having affairs with Sobowale even when she was married to her ex-husband, Tunde Sobowale, whom she bore her three children for but kept mute on the rumoured N100 million wedding single-handedly financed by her.
