Vice President Kashim Shettima and Senate President Godswill Akpabio are among the notable figures present in Kano for the wedding ceremony of Abdullahi, the son of Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin.
Abdullahi is all set to exchange vows with his fiancée, Bilkisu Aliyu Sani Madaki, the daughter of Rep Aliyu Sani Madaki, Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives.
The wedding Fatiha, an Islamic ceremony, took place at the Isyaka Rabiu Juma’at Mosque in Goron Dutse, Kano, following the juma’at prayers.
The ceremony was graced by prominent figures like the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, governors, and prominent politicians..

During the ceremony, Vice President Shettima played the role of the groom’s Wali, representing the family to solemnize the marriage oath. He also presented a dowry of N500,000.
Speaker Abbas accepted the groom’s proposal and gave the bride’s hand in marriage.
The Islamic rites of the wedding Fatiha were conducted under the guidance of the Chief Imam of Isyaku Rabiu Juma’at mosque, Sheikh Abdullahi Mahmud Salga.
Notable among the dignitaries are also Senator Ali Ndume, Kawu Sumaila, members of the Kano Executive Council among others.
