As the impact of subsidy removal continues to be a concern for Nigerians, the Federal Government has made it clear that there are no plans to reduce working days for employees of the Federal Civil Service.
This assurance came from Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, during a Media Parley held in Abuja on Tuesday. The Media Parley marked the commencement of the 2023 Civil Service Week.
Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan addressed the issue, emphasizing the government’s position on the matter: “There is no plan to reduce working days for employees of the Federal Civil Service,” she said.

She explained there was no need for that because the Tinubu-led administration is working on sustainable palliatives for civil servants.
According to her, part of the measures by the Federal Government is to purchase mass transit buses that would run on gas and not diesel, which already the buses are being converted from diesel to gas-powered vehicles.
