The Ganduje Foundation has sponsored free eye treatment for 1,000 residents of Jigawa State. The medical outreach took place on Sunday at Sambo Hospital in Dutse, Jigawa State.
During the exercise, beneficiaries received medications and recommended eyeglasses, while some underwent eye surgery for various eye diseases.
Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, who attended the event, commended the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and his wife, Professor Hafsat Umar Ganduje, for the initiative. He noted that he was not surprised by Dr. Ganduje’s commitment to extending human-centred projects beyond Kano State to Jigawa, given that Professor Hafsat Umar Ganduje hails from Jigawa State.

Dr. Ganduje attended the event alongside his wife, children, and well-wishers. Speaking at the occasion, he emphasized the importance of vision, stating that it was the primary reason for organizing the free medical outreach in the state. He further highlighted that medical outreach programs are among the key services provided by the Ganduje Foundation to Nigerians.

Beneficiaries of the initiative expressed their gratitude to the foundation, appreciating the free medical services, including surgeries, medications, and eyeglasses.
