The years of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State have been described as a blessing to the people of the state.
This assertion was made by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf, in a press release issued by the Public Relations Unit of the Ministry of Health to commemorate the governor’s 62nd birthday.
Dr. Labaran lauded the governor’s efforts, emphasizing the transformation of Kano into a mega city under his leadership, particularly his focus on strengthening the healthcare system. He described Governor Yusuf as a “focused and compassionate leader” whose commitment has greatly benefited the state.

The Commissioner recalled the governor’s notable contributions as Commissioner of Works during the tenure of Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, during which numerous impactful projects were executed, reshaping Kano’s infrastructure.
“Since the inception of this administration, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has remained steadfast in his mission, undeterred by internal or external challenges,” Dr. Labaran stated.

Highlighting the governor’s leadership style, Dr. Labaran said:
“It is worth noting that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has been providing exemplary leadership that is transforming Kano’s political and socioeconomic landscape. His governance, marked by hard work, kindness, and empathy, has earned him widespread love and acceptance.
“Day and night, the governor dedicates himself to serving the people, personally supervising projects and visiting hospitals to ensure progress. Indeed, his years in office have been beneficial to all of us.”
Dr. Labaran congratulated the people of Kano State for having a visionary and dedicated leader and urged continued support for the governor’s people-oriented policies to advance the state’s development.
He concluded by praying for Allah’s guidance and protection for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, wishing him continued success in his leadership journey.
