The founder of the Fulbe Development Association of Nigeria (FULDAN), Alhaji Usman Bello Torob, has called on the Kano government to emulate the federal government’s initiative to establish a livestock ministry in the state.
Usman Bello Torob stated this during an interview with newsmen in Kano, shortly swearing-in of the association’s new executive.
He said establishing the Ministry will enhance protein production, increase employment opportunities and government revenue in Kano.

Speaking earlier, the new Chairman of FULDAN Kano State Chapter, Alhaji Sani Adamu, who was re-elected for the second term has pledged the commitment of his led executive to initiate programmes and facilitate projects that would benefit members of the community.
He however appreciated the Kano State Government for their initiatives to combat Fulani Herders and Farmers clash in the state, which he says will boost the economic status of the parties and everlasting peace.
