Former President of KASSOSA National Body, Alh. Mustapha Nuhu Wali, mni, has pledged to sponsor 100 Girls of Garko Science College Old Student Association on entrepreneurship training as he expressed optimism about Girl Child Education in Kano State.
Mustapha Nuhu Wali made the expression at the Joint chapter reunion of Garko Science College Old Student Association on Monday 1st January 2024 in Kano.
Wali, being the father of the occasion, was honored with an award for his contribution towards the progress of the association since its inception.

He reiterated the need for synergy between parents, teachers, and old students’ associations to provide supplemental support to the government’s effort in promoting Girl Child Education In Kano.
He further commended the Old Students of Garko Science College, citing them as role models for Girl Children in Kano as they produced numerous health practitioners, scientists, diverse professionals and high ranking Government officials, citing the State Minister for FCT, Honourable Commissioner of Women Affairs as examples.
Wali has pleaded with the Kano State Government to reopen all boarding Science Colleges in Kano, especially Garko, in order to give room for the generational transfer of knowledge and discipline.
The Chapter’s Chairperson, Dr. Halima Dal has thanked Wali on behalf of Garko Girls for his continuous support to the development of the school and promotion of the association in various aspects while he was serving as KASSOSA National President, and after he left office.
