A Dunamis Church located at Mission Ward North Bank in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, has collapsed, claiming the life of a pastor.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday.
Sources report that at the time of the collapse, four individuals, including the pastor, were inside the church building, engaged in prayer.
The collapse not only resulted in the tragic loss of life but also impacted residential buildings and electricity infrastructure in the vicinity.

The exact cause of the incident remains unclear at this time.
When asked, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Benue State Police Command, Anene Sewuese Catherine, stated that she is not aware of the incident
However, police operatives from the C Division, North Bank, have already arrived at the scene. Emergency officials are also en route to the location of the collapsed building.
Fortunately, the other three individuals who were inside the church at the time managed to escape the wreckage.
