Bayero University Kano (BUK) says it has scheduled Special Re-sit Examinations for final year, including spill over one and spill over two students of the school.
The management has also slashed the school fees of affected students, which instead of paying the stipulated between N97,000 to N170,000, they will now pay according to the number of courses to resit.
Accordingly, the school said student who failed and have to resit for one (1) course will pay sum of N25, 000, for two (2) courses will pay N35, 000, while those that have to resit for three (3) courses will pay N45, 000.
GOOD EVENING NIGERIA reports that in a Special Bulletin signed by Lamara Garba, Deputy Registrar, Public Affairs, on behalf of the Acting Registrar of the school, the management said the special resit examination followed approval by the Senate Committee of the University during their 406th meeting on Wednesday.
The release however noted “that only students who have registered and failed a maximum of three (3) courses, which prevented them from graduating in 2020/2021 session at final year, spill-over one and spill-over two levels,” are eligible for the Special Re-sit Examinations.

It said, “registration period for the Special Re-sit to commence from Monday, August 28 to Saturday, September 9, 2023.”
“All affected students are to visit: www.mybuk2.buk.edu.ng/ugresit for payment and registration guidelines from August 28, 2023.
“The Examinations are to commence on Monday, 11 to Saturday, 16 September, 2023.
“The affected students are expected to visit their respective departments for more information.”
