Ebonyi Governor Francis Nwifuru has approved the increment of salaries in the civil service system. The Governor also ordered the recruitment of 1454 civil servants to fill up vacant positions. A suit by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against a former governor of Imo State Senator Rochas Okorocha has been dismissed by the court. A Federal Capital Territory High Court has dismissed the case and described the EFCC’s charges of fraud and abuse of office against Okorocha as an abuse of judicial process. The Kano State Government has faulted the distribution of the Federal Government’s allocation of N500 billion through the Bank of Industry to support small-scale industries across the country’s geopolitical zones.
