The Director of Training and Programs at the Progressive Institute, Abuja, Dr. Muhammad Sanusi Kiru, has dismissed recent claims by the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) and other northern stakeholders that Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje lacks the influence to impact President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
Reacting to the ACF’s position, Sanusi Kiru described the assertions as baseless and politically motivated, arguing that the forum lacks the credibility to make such claims. He alleged that certain political actors with vested interests were behind the group’s stance.
He emphasized that Ganduje is widely recognized as a statesman committed to the development of Kano State and Nigeria as a whole. According to him, Ganduje’s vast political experience and influence within the ruling party make him a key figure in shaping its future.

“Dr. Ganduje is committed to a stronger APC and a better Nigeria. Meanwhile, President Tinubu is working tirelessly to improve the standard of living for Nigerians,” he stated.
He further linked the recent reduction in the prices of essential commodities and fuel to Tinubu’s economic policies, emphasizing the president’s dedication to easing the financial burden on ordinary citizens.
