In a significant development for the communication sector, the President of the Association of Media and Communication Researchers of Nigeria (AMCRON) Professor Eserinune McCarty Mojaye has paid a visit to the former Honourable Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Professor Ali Isah Ibrahim Pantami, CON, FCIIS, FBCS, FNCS.
During the visit, the AMCRON President took the opportunity to brief Professor Pantami on the latest activities and progress made by the association.
A key highlight of the meeting was the presentation of an official letter of invitation, inviting Professor Pantami to attend AMCRON’s upcoming annual conference, slated for 8th October 2024.

The Honourable former Minister, in his response, expressed deep appreciation for the visit and extended warm commendations to AMCRON members for their efforts in being proactive in addressing contending national and international issues, advancing the media and communication industry in Nigeria.
He said, “I am deeply impressed by the work you’re doing. Keep the good work. ”
He also confirmed his intention to participate in the much-anticipated event, which is expected to bring together top academics, experts, researchers, and practitioners in the field of media and communication across the nation and beyond.
The AMCRON President expressed gratitude for the former Minister’s support, noting that his participation would add immense value to the event.
The conference, which has been tagged as one of the flagship events of the association, promises to serve as a platform for discussing cutting-edge trends in communication, digital economy and national security with key policymakers and industry leaders expected to attend.
“This year’s theme is unique as it addresses contending issues in national security and the role of the media”, the President added.
The President was accompanied during the visit by the Association’s Secretary Professor Abiodun Adeniyi and one member of the LOC Lawal Umar Maradun, fnipr.
