The Coalition of Fulani Associations, Kano has reappointed Sarkin Fulani of Karaye Kamal Umar Shuaibu as it’s chairman.
The decision was taken during the association executive meeting held today in Kano.
Recalls that Kamal Umar was the pioneer chairman of the association, stepped down from the leadership after forwarding a letter of absence.

In his speech, Sarkin Fulani of Karaye said his leadership will continue to collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to bring about the needed development.
He praised the Federal Government’s effort in introducing a new Ministry of Livestock, to address the unique challenges faced by Fulani herders in the country.
“As one of the committee members, I know how we analyzed all our problems before even submitting the report to Mr. President.
“We must thank Allah almighty for having it done, and we’ll continue to support the Government to benefit fully from this initiative,” Kamal Umar said.
“We anticipate that the Ministry will foster a more robust and supportive environment, promoting global best practices and introducing modern techniques that will revolutionize the sector,” Kamal added.
“We believe that with the establishment of the Ministry of Livestock Development, the government has demonstrated its commitment to addressing the needs of livestock farmers and herdsmen.”
The association reiterated its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, security, and sustainable development in Kano and Nigeria at large.
