Kano State Government has shifted the resumption date for all-day public/private primary and post-primary schools in the state to Tuesday 17th September 2024.
While pupils and students in boarding schools across the state will resume on Monday 16th September, 2024.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Director Public Enlightenment of the State Ministry of Education, Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, on Saturday.
The statement said the state Commissioner of Education Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa explained that the adjustment follows a declaration of 16th Sept 2024 as a public holiday to celebrate Eid-el Maulud.
” The adjustment is therefore to allow students to celebrate this holy date which marks the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
” While congratulating Muslim ummah, I wish to call on them to embrace the values of patience, sacrifice, and patriotism and continue to pray for the state and nation at large,” he said.
The statement therefore urges parents/guardians of students to take note of the new resumption date to ensure complete compliance
It wished both students, pupils, and their teachers a successful Maulud celebration and new academic session.
