Governor Abbas Kabir Yusuf has signed into law, bill for the creation of second class emirates into law.
The Governor assented to the new Kano State Emirates Council Establishment Law 2024 few hours after the state House of assemby passed the bill.
At the signing ceremony witnessed by Speak of the state assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, the Governor disclosed that the creation become pertinent to bring development closer to the grassroot.
Governor Yusuf said assenting to the newly passed bill was part of the commitment of his administration to further strength Kano traditional heritage.
He revealed plans for forward fresh executive bill to the assembly for the creation of third class emirates.
