The 5th batch of Kano State Pilgrims has departed Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for 2024 Hajj exercise.
The flight which took off at exactly 8:34pm left Kano with 420 passengers on board Max air is expected to land on King Abdulazeez International Airport, Medina.
The Airbus departed with pilgrims from Dawakin Kudu (67), Rano (125),
Kibiya (35), Bunkure (36),pilgrims (21), Tofa (31), Kura (90) and 11 officials.
The Director General, Kano Pilgrims Board said government is committed to providing the best possible support and resources to our pilgrims as they embark on this sacred journey.
The pilgrims were seen off by family members, friends, and officials, who gathered at the Airport to bid their farewell.
The atmosphere was filled with a sense of devotion and anticipation as the pilgrims boarded their flights.
A statement from Sulaiman Dederi spokesperson of the board said the board expressed gratitude to all partners and stakeholders involved in the successful organization and execution of this year’s Hajj operations.
