The Vice-Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, has congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on his first anniversary as Governor of Kano State.
This was conveyed in a statement signed by the Deputy Registrar Information & Public Relation Unit of the University, Sa’idu Abdullahi Nayaya and made available to Newsmen.
According to the statement, Governor Yusuf one year in office greatly impacted on the people and overall development of the state.
Further the statement highlighted many achievements recorded as the University Vice Chancellor Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai celebrates his one year in office.

The Vice-Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, on behalf of the Senate, Management, staff, students and the entire University Community, most honourably congratulates the Executive Governor of Kano State and Visitor to the University, His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, on the attainment and successful completion of his first one year in office. Indeed, your one year in office has greatly and positively impacted the people of Kano State.
Furthermore, your one year in office almost also coincidences with the one-year anniversary of the administration of Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai who was appointed the Vice-Chancellor of ADUSTECH in January 2023.
In commemoration of these anniversaries, some of the noble achievements recorded by the Management of ADUSTECH under the administration of His Excellency include:
- Pronouncement in August 2023 at Sports Institute Karfi by the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf on the conversion of former Daula Hotel land to ADUSTECH City Campus and pledging the State Government’s plan to build a befitting city campus.
- Successful accreditation exercise of 24 programmes with financial support from the Kano State Government with a sum of Three Hundred and Forty-Six Million, Eight Hundred and Seventy-seven Thousand Naira and Thirty-six Kobo (N346,877,036.00).
- Major renovation and remodeling of male and female students’ Hostels
- Renovation and equipping of lecture theatres and halls with digital teaching and learning (T&L) facilities.
- Installation of fiber optics-based internet and on-going networking of campus-wide internet access to enhance Teaching and Learning.
- Installation of modular solar power systems at strategic administrative offices and academic buildings to mitigate power supply interruption and ensure smooth academic and administrative activities.
- General landscaping as well as installation of more than 500 units of solar streetlights within the campus to enhance illumination and aesthetics in the night.
- ADUSTECH has signed several MoUs with various private and public institutions within and outside the country and initiated a partnership for sponsoring many indigent students to pursue various undergraduate programmes in the part time degree programme of the University.
- Renovating and expansion of central admin block that provides more office accommodations for staff at the Registry like Council Affairs, Information, Digital and Social Media Unit.
- Upgrade of the University portal leading to automation of admission processes and results processing among others.
- Upgrade and Installation ultra-modern equipment at the central research laboratory.
- Provision of subsidized transport services for staff and students.
- Enhancement of promotion process for non-teaching and teaching staff including professorial cadre.
- Part-payment of hazard and other allowances to both teaching and non-teaching staff.
