The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has reiterated the significance of new grouping system to pilgrims movement in the holy Land.
Besides, the DG called for strict pilgrims adhering to group arrangements during the ongoing daily induction course at Rano Islamic Center.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa who emphasized that group organization is a new directive from the Saudi Arabia Hajj Commission, requiring groups of forty-five individuals led by one male and one female deputy.
He underscored the necessity of following these instructions from departure in Jeddah until the completion of the Hajj exercises.
Regarding the Basic Travelling Allowance (BTA), he urged pilgrims to refrain from unnecessary purchases, stating that the purpose of this allowance is to save for unexpected or emergency expenses.
Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u, represented by Board Member and Chairman of the Hajj induction course in the state, Sheikh Tijjani Sani Maihula, assured that the Kano State Government has provided food, medicine, accommodation, and transportation, eliminating the need for additional spending.
In addition, Director of Hajj Operations Alhaji Kabiru Muhd Panda, represented by his deputy, Alhaji Muktar Muktar, stated that they visited the center to ensure all pilgrims undergo medical checkups to prevent anyone from being left behind.
A statement by spokesman of the board, Sulaimon Dederi, said the management also visited Rano, Kibiya, and Bunkure Local Government areas, respectively.
