The planned Full Council Meeting of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN has come under mischievous cyber attacks from yet to be identified suspected disgruntled elements .
The mischief makers on Tuesday, in a devilish manner had embarked on the circulation of a stale letter dated 12th March 2024, addressed to SWAN bankers , security operatives and other critical stakeholders in the sports sector.
The missive that was written by Ajibola Akinwale esq had attempted to mislead the Federal Ministry of Sports, IGP and other security organisations into desisting from dealing with Benjamin Isaiah as the president of the Association.
Checks revealed that , the letter failed to achieved its satanic mission, the banks and the federal ministry of sports development till date relates with Mr. Isaiah.
The letter could not serve its intended mission , as the authorities dismissed it, being fully aware it was not a judicial directive or a validly secured decision of a court of law.
The circulation of the musty letter, less than 48 hours to the meeting in Kano is perceived as a calculated attempt by some aggrieved persons to dent the meeting.
Further checks revealed that, National Executive Committee , NEC members have already arrived the ancient city of Kano ahead of the planned meeting next Thursday.
The Local Organizing Committee, LOC from its tabulation of expected SWAN state chairmen and secretaries who called in to affirm their planned arrival in Kano, on Wednesday, 28 state chairman and their secretaries are expected to storm Kano for the August gathering.
