The Ahmed Muhammad led factional Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Ganduje ward, Dawakin-Tofa local government area of Kano state has urged the public to disregard any group of people claiming to be officers of the political ward.
Reacting to emergence of new group that imposed fresh suspension on membership of National Chairman of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje led by one Ja’afar Adamu, the Muhammad said the 25 members under his chairmanship remains the authentic excos in the ward.
The internal controversy rocking Ganduje ward, the primary constituency of APC national Chairman, took a dramatic tune early Sunday morning, as new group led by Ja’afar Adamu issued fresh suspension on the Dr. Ganduje.
Adamu who spoke on behalf of 11 members equally claimed to be legitimately and validly elected Ganduje ward leaders, accused the national chairman of anti-party activities, igniting division among ward members and evasion of statutory dues among reasons for the suspension.
Countering the position of Adamu led faction in a statement on Sunday, the Ahmed Muhammed Ganduje faction insisted there wasn’t new election conducted by the state or national body of the APC to herald a fresh leadership in the ward.
“To the best of our knowledge, as executive members of Ganduje ward of the APC, there was no new election of new leadership of our party. We remain the same executive of the ward.
“To worsen their situation, leader of the group who announced the purported suspension is an NNPP member who contested but lost the councilorship election in Ganduje ward” the statement said.
Muhammad claimed the allegedly sponsored Adamu’s group couldn’t do their homework properly by using a fake or uncertified headed paper on which they drew a list of non existing party executive.
The self acclaimed executives therefore called on the national body of the party and security agencies to facilitate the arrest and persecution of Adamu’s group for impersonation
