The Controversy surrounding the suspension of the National Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje took a fresh dimension as another set of leadership debunked the sacking of the former Governor.
Ganduje was earlier declared suspended in his Ganduje ward at Dawakin-Tofa local government area by a nine member of the ward executives led by Haladu Gwanjo.
The Gwanjo led leadership said their action was as a result of legal action bordering on corruption practice and misappropriation of public funds while in office.
In a counter reaction to Gwanjo-led excos, Chairman of Ganduje ward, Alh. Ahmed Mohammed Koko insisted they were not aware of the suspension of the National Chairman of APC.
Koko who spoke at a seperate press conference Monday evening declared that Gwanjo-led ward members are impersonators and could not claim to be leaders of the party at Ganduje ward.
According to Koko, “the attention of the Ganduje ward executive committee members and that of Dawakin-Tofa local government area of the state was drawn to a purported suspension of the national chairman of APC, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje by unfortunately non-APC members in the ward.
“Those who addressed the press conference were sponsored by the NNPP state government and from the record of the party at the ward, local government and state, there are no card carrying members of APC.
Hence, the purported suspension is null and void, and would have no effect on the National Chairman”, Koko insisted.
