Property worth millions of naira was destroyed on Tuesday as late night fire outbreak wrecked a commercial shopping complex in Kumbotso area of Kano metropolis.

No life is reported lose.

Eyewitness, confirmed to PeoplesPen 24 that almost 40 shops in the premises adjacent to Zawaciki housing burnt to arches.

Similarly, Amad Nasir Wali, another resident who spoke told a local radio that shops gutted in the inferno included a provision store, a cement shop, a POS outlet, and many more.

Peoplespen24 report that it took several efforts of the fire service with three trucks of water to extinguish the inferno.

Spokesperson of Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Abdullah confirmed the ugly development. He however sought time to brief journalists with the detail of the incident.
