Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf cautioned the newly appointed Judges and Shari’a court of Appeal Khadis that justice must be served to all regardless of social status in the society.
Besides, the Governor had reminded that appointment of the new heads of courts devoid of any political affiliation but rather based on merit.
The Governor gave the advise on Friday while presiding the inauguration of nine state high Court Judges and four Sharia Court of Appeal Khadis.
According to Yusuf, ” Your new position should be seen as a call to duty and justice. But Justice should not be a privilege preserved for a few, but a right for all under your stewardship “.
He reminded the judiciary officers of the need to live up to the oaths they have taken while appealing to them to be fair to all and apply justice and equity to all manner of people.
