Tik-Tok
I begin with the Name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
One of the distinctive features that humans have over animals is their orderliness, intelligence and sense of shame.
The organizational structure of human social strata has been a major factor in ensuring the protection of these peculiar and praiseworthy characteristics of humans.
Allah, the Mighty and Majestic has not created us for jest nor for play and amusement. Rather, we have been created to achieve a noble and great goal and that is, to manifest the worship of Allah in everything that we do.

In order to actualize this mighty and grand purpose, we have been given a flawless manual in the form of the noble Qur’an along with the best and most upright human – Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
From there we learn how not to live as animals and how not to follow the footsteps of the devils among Jinn and Mankind.
Shame and morality are inseparable traits found in every noble and virtuous person, nay the two are the hallmark of every morally superior society.
Social media with all of its platforms offering almost everyone the opportunity to be a content creator has done more harm than good to our dear societies. It has invaded and unveiled the privacy of most people and almost every home.
The organizational structure mentioned at the beginning of this essay, where a society has defined social order with defined leadership recognizable through rulers and scholars down to parents, was what gave most societies their moral bearing.
Alas, today, due to the inundation and influx of democratic forces, respect for social hierarchy has been lost to the voice of freedom of expression.
Undoubtedly, Tik-tok has become one of the most effective platforms that is using young, talented, energetic and sometimes even old people as convenient cannon fodders to launch sustained attacks on our social order and morality.
Think of the worst form of moral decadence and you will find it on Tik-tok (also on similar platforms).
Homosexuality in the form of gayism and lesbianism have suddenly found voice and influence among young people. In the heart of our societies, gays and lesbians are daring the moral and social values that we cherish and hold onto.
Scholars have the daunting task of advising the government to regulate or even ban this social anathema (Tik-tok) that has pushed us to the quick sand of moral abyss.
One of the burdens of democracy is the endless myth of freedom which has given birth to all forms of voices of immorality.
Until, our state governors (especially in Muslim dominated states) are deliberate about taking actions against these voices of immorality, we will become the next Sodom.
When you like an immoral post, you energize the sinner. The responsibility to stop evil lies on each member of the society. While the government is being pacified to ban Tik-Tok, stop liking and sharing imports content. Their strength lies in your follower-ship and engagements.
