Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, has announced N199,000 official balance of 2024 hajj farewell for intending pilgrims from Kano.
Subsequently, the board urged prospective pilgrims who have made initial deposit of N4.5 million to promptly make up the balance before 12th February, 2024.
In a statement by Sulaimon Dederi, spokesperson of the board on Saturday, said the addition in the fare was in line
with the directives of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) concerning the comprehensive Hajj package for the current year.
The release said Director General of the board, Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u Danbappa underscores the availability of Hajj seats for purchase, urging interested persons to seize this open opportunity to register.
He emphasizes that the final Hajj fare is applicable from February 3, 2024, to February 12, 2024, encouraging the Muslim Ummah who are willing and yet to register to avail themselves of this chance.
“Furthermore, Danbappa calls upon those who have deposited N4. 5m to come forward in earnest for the balance of N199, 000 while those whose deposit funds have been retained for consecutive years should also turn up immediately for topping to reach the fixed fare of N4.699 million.
“He expresses gratitude for the Kano State Government’s efforts, particularly under the leadership of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, in renovating the Hajj Camp and other welfare packages for the benefit of pilgrims”. Danbappa said.
