The Kano State Commissioner for Special Duties, Hajiya Amina Abdulllahi Sani (Amina HoD), has stated that the present Kano state administration prioritizes the education of its populace.

According to her, the state government will continue to partner with the National Association of Nigeria’s Students (NANS), Kano State Chapter and national leadership on issues of education of all children.

This hint was dropped when she received the delegation of the leadership of NANS, National chapter, Hajiya Amina added that the sponsorship of 1001 indigenous students abroad for post-graduate studies is an investment worth carrying out by every progressive leader.

Amina (HoD) also commended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for such a gesture and pressing the buttons of leadership for a new drive to provide citizens with post-graduate education, saying the goal provided immediate results and impact on the life of both children, parents, the state, nation and the global world at large.

She described the visit as an extended gesture to both her office and governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and pledged that the relationship would be sustained.

The state commissioner for Special Duties was said to be in short of words to thank the august guests for the words of wisdom overhead from the leadership of the President of NANS.

Meanwhile, the National President of NANS, Pedro Obi, commended governor Abba Yusuf for slashing 50 percent school fees for students of higher learning, school feeding program and, above all, sponsorship of 1001 students abroad for post-graduate studies.

Pedro described the visit as part of his campaign pledges to go round campuses to address some of the lingering problems right at the place where the problem occurred.

Obi added that the experience of what the Kano State Government has done to the state and education is worth carrying home for others to follow suit.

The NANS National President disclosed that, in the cause of their investigation, people across the state discovered the Ministry for Special Duties as the mother of NANS in the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Director of Public Enlightenment, Ministry for Special Duties, Umar Abdu Kurmawa.
