The Kano state government has paid State Athletes Players and Coaches allowances after participating in the Second Edition National Para Games 2023 in Abuja.
Recall that an online newspaper platform Good Evening Nigeria reported that Kano State Government are yet to settle the allowances as of the deadline of Wednesday 20th of December 2023.
The acting Chairman of Kano Sport Commission said they settled to pay the payment for the team’s allowance, but as a result of appointing new secretary to the state Government, it necessitated the delay of the release of funds.

Bala also said the Kano state government will pay coaches, health officials and Sports Commission staff funds as soon as possible by next week.
Apart from Journalists who spent the whole week covering the tournament, the crew were paid after expressing their dissatisfaction.
Aminu Ahmad Wada, who represented all the players, while receiving their money, expressed his happiness after days of waiting for their allowances.
Recall that, the Kano supervising Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Safiyanu Hamza Kachako, said the Kano Government will pay the allowances this month.
The Kano State Athletics team in the National Para Games 2023 in Abuja, won 18 Gold medals, 12 Silver and 17 Bronze, which made them 47 medals total at the tournament.
The Kano team emerged in 3rd position in the recent games, while Bayelsa State emerged as Champions of the games, winning 30 gold, 24 silver and 29 bronze with 74 medals in total.
The National Para Games organized by the Ministry of Sport Development, the tournament this year, were scheduled from 8 to 14 of this month at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
