Traditional Dambe Boxing Begins in Kano Nov. 26

The highly anticipated Dambe Warriors League (DWL) Superfight 01 is scheduled to take place at the Kano Pillars Stadium in Nigeria on November 26.

The event, supported by the Kano State Government, is expected to attract the largest crowd in Dambe history, with an expected 15,000 spectators.

DWL Superfight 01 will feature seven electrifying fights, promising an action-packed evening for all attendees.

The champions will go home with shared prize of N3 million prize purse for the champions, the largest in Dambe history.

Organizers said there will be three promotion fights where the winners will replace the relegated number six ranked fighters in the lightweight, middleweight, and heavyweight divisions.

Additionally, there will be three championship fights that will feature the number one and number two ranked fighters in the lightweight, middleweight, and heavyweight divisions.

Superfight 01 battles will include Lightweight promotion fight between Alaye (House Kudu) and Yar Mage (House Kudu); Middleweight promotion fight between Shagon Agantsare (House Gurumada) and Shaaban (House Kudu); Heavyweight promotion fight between Shagon Audun Tunga (House Gurumada) and Dogon Sani ( House Jamus).

Also, there will be championship fight Lightweight between Bahagon Zayyanu (House Gurumada ) and Autan Ali Kanin Bello (House Jamus); Middleweight Championship fight between Ramadan (House Jamus) and Bahagon Dogo Maitakwasara (House Gurumada) and Heavyweight Championship fight between Garkuwan Dutse (House Kudu) and Dogo Maitakwasara (House Gurumada).

There is also the much-anticipated rematch between Saudi Arabia’s Hussain Al-Mutairi and Nigeria’s Dogon Sisco who would be seeking to avenge his punishing defeat at the hands of Sisco at Circuit Fight 01 last September.
