Armed bandits have killed one mobile policeman dead and abducted 15 persons, including the wife of a local monarch in an attack on the Ruwandoruwa community in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State,

According to reports, the assault occurred around 12:30 am, on Monday, when the assailants firing indiscriminately upon entering the community.

The assailants unleashed gunfire indiscriminately after they stormed the community, killing the mobile policeman, who was fatally shot in front of the district head’s residence while attempting to defend the house.

After a failed attempt to kidnap the district head, who was nowhere to be found, his wife was abducted.

The bandits were yet to contact the community for ransom regarding the abducted persons.
