The Lagos State Government has revealed that 340 husbands were subjected to physical abuse by their wives in the state, in the past one year.
Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA), shared this information in the agency’s quarterly reports.
According to Vivour-Adeniyi, the reporting of domestic violence incidents involving males also witnessed a rise in the last year.

Between September 2022 and July 2023, 340 cases were reported by men who experienced violence at the hands of their wives.
Expressing concern over this trend, Vivour-Adeniyi stated that the agency is actively addressing these cases to achieve an amicable resolution.
