Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 election, Peter Obi, criticized the Supreme Court’s judgment that upheld Bola Tinubu’s election, describing it as a breach of trust in the judiciary.
He accused the apex court of ignoring evidence, which, he believes, undermines citizens’ trust in the judiciary.

Obi stated, “Without equivocation, this judgment amounts to a breach of confidence Nigerians have in our judiciary. To that extent, it is a show of unreasonable force against the very Nigerian people from whom the power of the Nigerian citizens is drawn.”
He assured Nigerians that this is not the end and emphasized his commitment to working toward a Nigeria founded on character, competence, integrity, compassion, and the rule of law.
