World-renowned Nigerian music sensation, Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, recently bid farewell to his mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun.
In Lagos, a solemn candlelight session was conducted on her behalf.
The Starboy, known for his deep affection for his mother, was in attendance alongside his siblings.
Wizkid, the multi-award-winning artist, looked somber during the candlelight session as he mourned the loss of his mother, who passed away on August 8.
The exact cause of her death remains undisclosed. It has been confirmed that her final resting place will be on October 13.

Her funeral service is scheduled to take place at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) City of David, situated in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Born on July 14, 1957, the late mother of the afrobeats star is survived by her husband, Muniru Olatunji Balogun, and four children – Yetunde Balogun, Omolara Osunkoya, Olubusayo Balogun, and Ayodeji ‘Wizkid’ Balogun.
Wizkid, often considered the shining star of the family, is a Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer and songwriter.
He is a prominent figure in the contemporary afrobeats music scene, regarded as one of the most significant and influential African artists of all time.
Wizkid embarked on his music journey at the young age of 11.
