Eight security operatives, including soldiers, policemen, and members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), were set ablaze in an ambush in the Ehime Mbano local government area of Imo State.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, in Umualumaku community within the Ehime Mbano council, causing residents to flee the area due to fear of potential reprisals by security agencies.
Reports indicate that a joint security taskforce team, traveling in two security trucks, was ambushed and subsequently set on fire, with no survivors.
